M•CON Racing had a weekend of highs and lows at the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix, showcasing our prowess in both the Class 1 and Super Cat classes. In Saturday’s qualifying for Class 1 driver Myrick Coil and throttleman Tyler Miller faced challenges early on. An unfortunate issue with the propeller put us at a disadvantage, leaving us with a slower qualifying time. Despite this, they persevered through the race, finishing in fourth place. The victory went to Team DeFalco, who secured their third consecutive win of the season. The day wasn’t without its moments of success for M•CON Racing, as we managed to maintain their points lead despite the tough competition.
In the Super Cat class, M CON/Monster Energy showcased our competitive edge by finishing in second place. The race was marked by a fierce battle with Dirty Money, which ultimately claimed victory after a strong performance throughout the race. The team of Coil and Miller had an impressive run, maintaining the lead for a significant portion of the race before Dirty Money surged ahead. Despite the second-place finish, we are happy with a strong race and heavy competition. Congratulations to the Dirty Money team for their well-earned win! The weekend’s events showcase M•CON Racing’s resilience and strategic skill to perform at the top level of offshore racing.
