Offshore racing veteran Tyler Miller is preparing to unveil the newest addition to the M•CON Racing fleet—a purpose-built Skater 418 designed with performance and competition in mind. The new boat is expected to arrive soon at Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Missouri, where it will be outfitted with 1,100-horsepower Mercury Racing engines built to Pro Class 1 specifications. Developed through a close partnership between the M CON team and Skater Powerboats, the project represents a fresh step forward for the program. With rigging underway, anticipation is building for the boat’s first appearance on the race course.
No Pro Class 1 offshore racing team owner is more committed to the category—and the sport itself—than Tyler Miller of Wathena, Kans. Now Miller, his wife Lindsey, and their extended family of team-members are awaiting the arrival of their new M CON/Monster Energy Skater 418 raceboat at Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., this week, where it will be rigged with its class-spec 1,100-hp Mercury Racing engines.
“After years of working with, pleasure boating and racing the amazing products Peter and his Team at Skater Powerboats build we are more eager than ever to strap in to a boat designed and built from the ground up inspired by Team M CON,” Miller said. “The project has been a collaboration between Peter, Myrick, Lindsey and I alongside Tony and the cast and crew from Skater and M CON Racing to build what we feel will be the next and best generation build wether on the race course or on the pleasure side.
Added Miller, “I can’t wait to push the sticks to the dash and reap the rewards of all the thought and detail that went into the newest model from Skater.”
