The 2025 Key West World Championships delivered three hard-fought races, and our Monster Energy/M•CON team opened the week with a strong statement. Despite a messy Wednesday start, Tyler Miller and Myrick Coil kept the 43’ Skater focused and worked their way through the fleet with consistent pace. When the lead boats ran into issues late in the race, we were in position to capitalize and take the win in Race 1, giving us the early points advantage heading into the rest of the week.
Friday’s race forced everyone to adapt after a red-flagged start and a shortened lap count. Once racing finally went green, we held a steady second behind DeFalco and managed the changing water conditions without over-pushing the boat. The result was another podium finish—second place—and enough points to keep us at the front of the championship standings going into Sunday.
Sunday was a straightforward race with no major shakeups at the front. DeFalco got the early jump from the inside lane, and although we stayed within striking distance, there wasn’t enough clean water to make a move. We finished second in the final race and second overall in the world championship, just two points short of the title. It wasn’t the ending we wanted, but the team executed well all week, and our Monster Energy/M•CON program proved once again that we’re consistently in the fight for every championship.
