CLASS 1 M CON/MONSTER ENERGY RACE BOAT
It’s no secret that our new Class 1 Skater 438 race boat is currently under construction for the M CON/Monster Energy team, but the graphics are already drawing attention from our fans! The contrast of our classic black and red with the iconic Monster Energy green is an eye catching combo as a primary sponsor for the 2023 Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 Offshore World Championship Series.
We are also proud to present the newly designed M CON Super Cat debuting at the APBA Offshore National Championships Series season-opener in Marathon, Florida! We are beyond excited to see what 2023 will bring for these powerful boats and our amazing team!
Class 1 M CON/Monster Energy Team Releases Graphics For New Skater Raceboat
If the current schedule holds, the first Class 1 raceboat built by Skater Powerboats in Douglas, Mich., in 30 years will be at Osage Beach, Mo.-headquartered Performance Boat Center early next month for installation and rigging of its Mercury Racing 1100 Comp engines. Fans will get their first look at the 43-foot catamaran in action at the Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 World Championship Series season-opener, May 18-21, in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
In the meantime, the cat’s graphics—mostly created by the team’s Sydney Leckliter—have been finalized. Leckliter worked closely with Lindsey Miller, the wife of team owner/throttleman Tyler Miller and vice president of M CON LLC. Miller also is the self-described “chaos coordinator” for the team.
“I’m not a graphic designer so my vision is way out of the box,” Miller said, then laughed. “Graphic designers, painters and artists probably get very frustrated with me, but they go with it and make our vision become a reality. We love clean, simple and classic in everything we do from our raceboats to our apparel, but we still like to have that edge, that ‘wow factor,’ that sets up apart from the rest.”

M CON Super Cat Carries Monster Energy Theme Into New Graphics
M CON SUPER CAT
Released today (above), graphics for the new Class 1 Skater 438 raceboat currently under construction for the M CON/Monster Energy team are already drawing raves from offshore powerboat racing fans. As previously reported on speedonthewater.com, Monster Energy drink is sponsoring the Kansas-based team owned by Tyler and Lindsey Miller for the 2023 Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 Offshore World Championship Series.
While backing from Monster Energy doesn’t extend to the M CON’s Super Cat-class racing program—throttleman Tyler Miller and driver Myrick Coil ran the team’s Skater 388 catamaran powered by Sterling Performance engines to an American Power Boat Association national championship and a UIM world championship last season—the team still opted to include the Monster theme in the 38-foot raceboat. And the results are spectacular.
